Chairman of the Weightlifting Federation of Armenia, Deputy Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Samvel Khachatryan told the newspaper Ankakh “that the Weightlifting Federation of 40 European countries, among them the Weightlifting Federation of Armenia, appealed to the leadership of the European Weightlifting Federation with a request to continue holding European Championships in weightlifting athletes 20 and up to 23 years in isolation. Sports fans know that recently the representatives of these age groups in Cyprus, played the championship prize of the Old World. “At the last Youth European Championships weightlifters for a long time waiting for their turn, and it could not create nervous tension and does not affect the psychology of athletes and results”, – said Chairman of the Weightlifting Federation of Armenia.
