(Հայերեն) ՀՀ ոստիկանության քրեական հետախուզության գլխավոր վարչության նախկին պետ Հ. Թամամյանի հովանավորյալները սպանություն կատարելու համար դատապարտվել են

The Court of First Instance of Gegharkunik region sentenced Aram and Arthur Martirosyans and Hrachya Petrosyan to imprisonment for committing attempted murder.

In particular, the Court found justified the evidence btought by the prosecutor as to which on November 5, 2009 at about 01:00 p.m. Aram and Arthur Martirosyans toghether with Hrachya Petrosyan quarreled and beat V. Mukhsikhchoyan in Gavar.

Several hours later the Martirosyan brothers and H. Petrosyan shot in the direction of V. Mukhsikhchoyan’s father-in-law’s car. V. Mukhsikhchoyan’s father-in-law Hakob Hovhannisyan, his son Hovsep Hovhannisyan and the latter’s friend Spartak Zargaraghoyan were in the car and as a result of this Hovsep Hovhannisyan and Spartak Zargaraghoyan got life-threatening serious bodily injuries.

Aram Martirosyan was found guilty according to the Articles 34-104, part 2, points 1 and 7 and 235, part 2 of the RA Criminal Code and was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment. Arthur Martirosyan was found guilty according to the Articles 34-104, part 2, points 1 and 7 and 235, part 2 of the RA Criminal Code and was sentenced to 13 years of imprisonment. Hrachya Petrosyan was found guilty according to the Articles 34-104, part 2, points 1 and 7 and 235, part 2 of the RA Criminal Code and was sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment.

In the framework of the above-mentioned criminal case the former Head of the RA Police General Department of Criminal Intelligence Service H. Tamamyan and the former Senior Investigator of the Department on Specially Important Cases of the General Investigation Department of the Police V. Khanzadyan had been charged on the abuse of official duties.

According to the evidence obtained during the pretrial examination, H. Tamamyan kept from criminal liability Aram and Arthur Martirosyans who attempted to murder Hakob and Hovsep Hovhannisyans and S. Zargaradoghyan on November 5, 2009 in Gavar. Knowing who had committed the murder and where the instruments of crime were kept H. Tamamyan failed to check the information and to reveal the instruments of crime. H. Tamamyan broke the requirements of the Point 172 of the Police Order on Maintaining Confidentiality and destroyed the summary of the telephone conversation conducted during the preliminary investigation of the criminal case which included information confirming that Aram and Arthur Martirosyans had been related to the murder of Hakob and Hovsep Hovhannisyans and S. Zargaradoghyan committed on November 5, 2009 in Gavar.

The criminal case had been sent to the Court of First Instance of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts in January 2012 and the trial is underway.
