1 dies in Yerevan apartment blaze
People, Daily news | ankakh | February 3, 2011 9:50On February 2, at 11:40 p.m. local time, the 6th floor of a 10-storey building caught on fire in Yerevan.
Five fire-fighting trucks arrived at the site. Rescuers entered the apartment by breaking down the door. The body of Seda Tamrazyan, 90, was found dead. The fire was localized in half an hour. The flame did not tear through neighboring apartments. Two rescuers suffered burns and were hospitalized.
Photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that senior police officials arrived at the site. The causes of the accident are being clarified.
