Legally functioning markets offer more than 3000 trading places
Economics, Daily news | ankakh | January 24, 2011 21:58On the instruction of the mayor of Yerevan the first deputy mayor Taron Margaryan held a working conference with the participation of the directors of about thirty Yerevan markets. Taron Margaryan highlighted that the process of regulation of the illegal open-air trading and its replacement to the established places will go on. “ The task is set to provide the people occupied with open-air trading with appropriate places where they will be able to continue their trading activity”. It was reported that since the pavements and other places of public use have become free from illegal street trading, the markets offer more than 3000 trading places.
Taron Margaryan also emphasized that as soon as the municipality has a common description of employment at functioning in the administrative districts markets, certain steps will be taken in the direction of building new small markets if there is necessity for it. The organizers and the directors of the markets are even ready to give possible discounts. The first deputy mayor assured the presents once again that there wouldn’t be any step back in this issue, hence he urged to be more consistent in providing working places according to the demand and the number.
