RPA Council elected Karen Karapetyan Yerevan mayor
Headline, Politics, Daily news | ankakh | December 16, 2010 22:31Today President Sargsyan attended RPA (Republican Party of Armenia) Council’s meeting, whete the top issue was the candidate of Yerevan mayor and the cabinet reshuffle.
Presidential spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov announced to NEWS.am that RPA (Republican Party of Armenia) Council decided on the RPA nominee for mayor’s post. He is Chairman of ArmRusgasprom Board Karen Karapetyan.
Besides, it was decided that Hrayr Tovmasyan, lawyer and specialist on the Constitution, will hold the post of the Minister of Jurisdiction, Armenian Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan will be replaced by Armenian Finance Minister Tigran Davtyan, whereas Vache Gabrielyan, Vice Chairman of the Central Bank, will be appointed Finance Minister. According to some reports, Agriculture Minister Gerasim Alaverdyan, Nature Protection Minister Aram Harutunyan and other ministers will be dismissed in the near future.
