Karen Karapetyan most likely candidate for Yerevan Mayor

On December 17, Council of the Alderman will hold elections of Yerevan Mayor. Relaible sources told NEWS.am that Chairman of “ArmRusgazprom” Board Karen Karapetyan will be elected Mayor of Yerevan. Rumors say earlier names of two other nominees were discussed – First Deputy Mayor Taron Margaryan and Derenik Dumanyan, the head of RPA group in the Council of the Alderman.

As NEWS.am reported earlier, ex-Mayor Gagik Beglaryan had to resign after a scandal over beating Aram Kandayan, an employee of the protocol department of the presidential staff.
