Yerevan Council of Elders to elect new mayor on December 17

In a special session convened today, the Council scheduled the election for December 17 according to the law on local authorities of RA, article 30, part 1, article 45, part 2, point 3. Headed by acting mayor Taron Margaryan, the session was attended by 47 members of the Council.
A question was included on the agenda of the special session – the date of electing the mayor.
A unanimous decision was made to hold Yerevan mayor election on December 17, at 11 am.
