In the Balkans there is flooding. From the disaster suffered Albania, Montenegro and Bosnia. Rain and melting snow caused the flooding. Thousands of people were evacuated from the affected areas. The problem is different in Poland and Austria. There are ample 20-degree frosts which are accompanied by heavy snowfall.

So now in the north-eastern Bosnia hundreds of towns and villages are flooded. Sava River left from the shores – the largest in the region. Water comes every hour.

“Look around! What you see – is a disaster. Under the water went the whole building. The water is kept at the level of two meters. Nothing more to add, you can see yourselves “- said a local resident.

“My house is just 30 meters away. But getting there is impossible. All is flooded. There were my wife and kids. I do not know how to help them “- says a Bosnian.

All forces have thrown to help the victims – the rescuers, military and police. Authorities appealed for help in the diving centers, as well as all residents who have boats. In the disaster zone that is the only form of transport, which is now possible to evacuate people.

Not less complicated is situation in Albania. Flood covered the northern areas of the country. The main force of rescuers was sent to the district of Shkodra, where the water level rose by several meters. Thousands of families were trapped on the upper floors of houses – without electricity, water and foods. In the last days over 10,000 people were evacuated from the disaster area. However, to cope with flooding on its own is not possible. Albanian authorities asked for help from NATO.

Quite different problems are in Poland. There came heavy snow and 20 degrees of frost. Already 40 people have died from hypothermia. 150,000 people are waiting for help in southern city of Czestochowa, where because of the communal crash cut off the heat in the house.

Unprecedented snowfall collapsed Austria. Dozens of communities cut off from the outside world. They do not have enough equipment to clear the roads. Due to the buildup of snow wire transmission lines are broken. Thousands of people remained without electricity. Weather forecasts are disappointing – snowfall will continue for another week.
