We Must Do Everything We Can for the Victory of the Armenian Team: V. Manoukian’s Meeting with Students

Today the Chairman of the Public Council and the National Democratic Union Vazgen Manukyan  met  with the winners of the annual educational awards in the sphere of IT.

The director of “Synopsis Armenia’’ Hovik Musayelyan expressed confidence that  these  winners will shape the economic, political and cultural elite of our country in the near future. While the neighboring countries spend hundreds of millions of dollars to provide education for their students in the leading universities of the world, our country has no such possibilities. Instead, our country encourages progressive young people.  And such meetings and events help the young to form the vision of the progress of our country.

The guest of the meeting V. Manoukian noted in his speech that he had tried many times to understand what sphere of human activity is more important. Different philosophical conclusions showed that perceptions about  family, friendship and eternity, no matter in what era they were formed, are almost indistinguishable from each other. The social system is constantly undergoing changes – from autocracy to democracy, from  monarchy to a liberal order, etc. It is not clear what modern society will be followed by. However, in science and technology there are no wavelike motions. Everything is built up, nothing disappears.

Pointing to the results of technology development, which he had witnessed in his own life – airplane, refrigerator, telephone, TV and computer, the appearance of which in our household earlier seemed improbable, he concluded: “You should be proud to have chosen one of the most important spheres. By working in this area you will ensure the welfare of yourselves and others”.

V. Manoukian expressed his confidence that one is part of a team throughout  his/her life: first, in the yard, then in the classroom, with friends and family. Without the team, one cannot live. “We are the team members of the Armenians, so we must do everything possible for the victory of this team. And the pride and accomplishments of our team largely depends on you “- said V. Manoukian.

It should be noted that the annual premium of RA President in the field of information technology is presented with the assistance of ‘’Hayastan’’  All Armenian Fund and ‘’Synopsis  Armenia’’. The ceremony involves students and pupils of the State Engineering (Polytechnic) University of Armenia (SEUA), Yerevan State University (YSU), American University of Armenia, Slavonic University, the European Regional Academy, Physics and Mathematics School at Yerevan State University, College of Basic SEUA in Yerevan,” Kvant’’ , gymnasium Anania Shirakatsi in Yerevan, the colleges “Photon” in Gyumri and “Eureka” in Vanadzor. Prizes are awarded in the following categories: Grand Prize, Best Graduate Student, Best Graduate, Best BA, Best Student (male), Student from Diaspora, Best Student (female), Best Pupil.

The award ceremony has been held since 2005. Over the last six years, 158 students and pupils have received this award in the sphere of IT .

With the assistance of JSC “Synopsys Armenia”  Winners Club has been founded. The members of the club regularly hold meetings with leaders of the IT industry and other famous people. “Synopsys Armenia”,as the organizer of the Presidential Award ceremony, promotes such meetings.
