An Iranian Sentenced to death can Avoid Stoning

Iranian woman sentenced to death by stoning, most likely, will not be executed. This was announced by state television of the country.

Savage punishment 43-year Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiany Court of First Instance appointed for adultery and complicity in the murder of her husband. The sentence should have been put in execution in early November; in prison where convicts have been sent to the appropriate order. But then the execution postponed.

Now her case is before the Supreme Court. And as stated by the Iranian Supreme Council for Human Rights Yavad Mohammad Larijani, chances are that the death penalty on a woman can be avoided, the agency AP.

Meanwhile, the case has already provoked a strong response in the western countries. As soon as it became known about the imminent executions of women the Government of France, Italy, Sweden, the United States and the European Parliament issued a demand to cancel such a harsh sentence. In Berlin, Brussels, London, Paris, Rome and Washington have been rallies in support of the convicted.
