Monument to the president pre-war Latvia Karlis Ulmanis in the Turkmen city of Turkmenbashi (formerly known as Krasnovodsk) to be installed within two years. Ulmanis, who was previously on several occasions as Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister and several others in 1934, gave Latvia a military coup. In 1936, he appointed himself president and prime minister, officially naming at the same time leader and father of the nation. In 1940, after the entry into Latvia by Soviet troops, retired, has worked with the new pro-Soviet government. In the same year he was deported by administrative order via Moscow to Voroshilov (Stavropol), where he was arrested. August 1, 1942 transferred to the city Krasnovodsk (Turkmenbashi), where he died on September 20. Location of his grave remains unknown.
