Tbilisi City Hall has Decided to Sell their Cars

Tbilisi City Hall has decided to sell at auction their official cars, reported IA “News-Georgia”. This decision was made within the framework of the economy.

Entirely without vehicles of officials will not leave. They will be bought cheaper cars, and the difference in the money (if the auction goes well) will go to the city budget.

They offer all seven machines, consisting of the balance of the City Hall, including the Audi A8, which goes to the mayor, Gigi Ugulava. The initial price of lots ranging from 7.9 thousand to 48.9 thousand GEL (from 4.5 to 28 thousand dollars).

To save money, according to Interfax, the leadership of the mayor’s office also plans to cut wages by 10 percent. In addition, it is planned reduction in staff.

Previously, Business, Georgia reported that the budget of Tbilisi in 2011 reduced by 123 million lari (about $ 70 million) compared with the current year. In the mayor’s office, however, this state of affairs explained the completion of some projects (such as road construction), rather than cuts in any programs.
