In Hungary Lived 10-15 Thousand Armenians

Deputy Minister for Diaspora Stepan Petrosyan received today Chairman of the Forum of Armenian autonomy of national and ethnic minorities, the Hungarian Parliament, Chairman of the Union, “The Armenian diaspora in Hungary Adam Sarkisian. According to the press service of the Ministry of Diaspora, welcoming Adam Sargsyan, Deputy Minister praised the efforts of the Hungarian community to strengthen ties with Armenia and Artsakh.
Armenians have settled in Hungary as early as 10-11 centuries. Now here live from 10 to 15 thousand Armenians, most of whom are Armenians, who came from Transylvania. Scanty Armenian communities are in the cities of Debrecen, Sopron, Szeged, Veszprém and Sekeshvegervan. Stepan Petrosyan welcomed the activities of three Sunday school in Budapest, a cultural center and community associations, aimed at preserving the Armenian identity.
Both sides stressed the need for self-Hungarian Armenian community. An agreement was reached on the establishment of the Coordination Council for the example of the Armenian community in France.
