The Prime Minister Attended a Meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Government

The Armenian delegation led by Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan today in St. Petersburg participated in the meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Governments, which included more than two dozen questions.
Heads of Government agreed on the process of preparing a draft agreement on free trade zone. The draft document will be submitted to CIS heads of state for approval.
Heads of Government discussed the level of competition in telephony, as well as projects of international cooperation of the CIS member states in terms of innovation until 2020
Heads of Government underlined the importance of implementing joint projects by 2020 to produce and use energy resources.
During the meeting it was noted that the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS in 2008-2010. The Republic of Armenia has implemented 32 programs. Only in 2010 in Armenia was conducted 9 events. In particular, from June 26 to July 2, was held in Yerevan Youth Delphic Games of CIS countries, and from 25-29 October – the fourth forum of publishers and translators of the CIS and Baltic states.
The meeting also discussed a program to develop a joint strategy for economic development until 2020, and scheduled in such program, as well as a single budget of the various bodies of CIS countries in 2011. Heads of Government also signed several agreements of mutual interest.
