Group of Suicide Bombers Attacked the Airport in Jalalabad

Group of suicide bombers attacked on Saturday morning, airport and military base situated therein, NATO forces in the city of Jalalabad in eastern Afghanistan. Reports indicate that at the airport thundering explosions over it raised a cloud of smoke, circling around a military helicopter. It became known of the death of at least one of the attackers. The police chief of Nangarhar province Obeydulla Talvar confirmed the attack but was unable to provide additional information, including on possible casualties.
The representative of the Taliban Zabiulla Mujahid already had to inform the foreign media by telephone that the attack involved 14 Taliban bombers, ITAR-TASS.
