In 2011 the RA President will Visit India

November 11, during an official visit to India, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with his Indian counterpart Somanahalli Malaya Krishna.

Welcoming the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia in New Delhi, Indian Foreign Minister said: “There are rich historical traditions of the Armenian-Indian friendship, and India wants to take active steps to further deepen its relations with Armenia.”

Expressing his gratitude to his Indian counterpart for the invitation to visit New Delhi and for the warm welcome, Edward Nalbandian said that Armenia attaches great importance to strengthening and developing friendly relations with India, a country with which Armenia has a rich history binds the two nations. “Armenia and India there is nothing that would have separated them, but there are many factors that unite our country.

Regional and international issues of our countries have mutual understanding, our positions are identical or very close,”- said Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

To report a new impetus to the Armenian-Indian partnership agreement was reached to organize a visit of Armenian President to India in 2011.

Nalbandian, Krishna said that effective cooperation in political, economic, cultural and educational fields in recent years has strengthened the mutual trust between the parties, and that has the political will of both countries and the willingness to take active steps to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, including cooperation in new areas.
Nalbandian briefed his Indian counterpart in India, recent developments in the Karabakh conflict.

During the talks, the foreign ministers of Armenia and India discussed the development of economic cooperation and efforts in this direction moves.

November 12, Armenian Foreign Minister will travel to Calcutta, where he will meet with the Governor of West Bengal, as well as with representatives of the Armenian community.
