Gas Consumption in Armenia this Year Declined by 13.3 Percent

The volume of imported natural gas to Armenia in 2010 during the first nine months compared with the same period last year declined by 17.8 percent and amounted to 987.8 million cubic meters. As reported by Armenpress of the company Armrusgazprom “during this period were closed objects 988.0 million cubic meters of gas.

Compared with the period from January to September 2009 to 15.3 percent was reduced gas consumption and population totaled 339.4 million cubic meters.

Consumption of the energy sector amounted to about 103.1 million cubic meters, a 51.5 percent less than last year. Slight increase in consumption in the industry – 188.6 million cubic meters, which is 4.7 percent more than in 2009.
