The New Structure, New Expectations

In March 2011 will be qualifiers for the European Championship in handball women’s group to 17 years. The tournament was the sixth group in Israel, in addition to the national team mistresses of the field will participate the team of Holland, Romania and Armenia. We are seriously preparing for this trial. Starting in September the Armenian national team under coach Astghik Gyurdzhinyan is active workout.

11 athletes are 16, the others are 8 – 15 years. There are talented and promising players. As we know, in early 2010 in France was based organization supporting the Armenian handball, whose motto is “One Nation, One Team”. Teams of Armenia’s handball in different age groups, in fact, add to our compatriots living abroad. All this is done with great enthusiasm and disinterested. Even without knowing a word in Armenian our compatriots, with love to protect the honor of our flag.

And the results are obvious. Armenian team in the formulation, augmented by the French handball team successfully participated in large-scale international competition “Challenge Trophy” in Israel. In the organization in September in the city of Vanadzor, the second international tournament, the Cup of the Prime Minister of Armenia, our men’s team, thanks to replenish its membership by our compatriots from France, defeated the team of Iran and Georgia, second only to a strong team of Belarus won the Group 2-nd place.

And here we are back in anticipation, as the Armenian national team under 17 will again be backed up living in France by our compatriots. In addition, serious work on the selection of a dozen candidates selected so far only five. This is a complicated process, because the girls are learning, it is difficult to detach them from their lessons for the sake of competition. In addition, parents are not so easily agree that their children were leaving for the competition so far from home. And this is natural. Another problem is that the selected candidates from different cities of France. In particular, the goalkeeper was Margo Terzian (height 175 cm) of Normandy. From Lyon, Paris and Marseille – Noemi Mouradian (174 cm), Fahmy Abrahamyan (171 cm), Alex Boyajian (174 cm).

By the way, Nov. 5 from France will arrive in Yerevan Patrick Otamyan. He is the coach of Armenia. Know exactly how soon will coordinate the preparatory work. It is possible that the national team of Armenia will be replenished with new players invited from abroad.
