“King of Hippies” Eddie passed away in India

“The King of Hippies” Yertward Mazmanian has passed away at age of 86 in India.

Yertward Mazmanian, an Armenian-American, was born in 1924 in U.S. He was one of the first who arrived in Anjuna beach, North Goa, which later became a famous spot on the tourist map.
He had two nicknames “The King of Hippies” and “Eight Finger Eddie”, as he had only eight fingers. In an interview posted on YouTube Eddie says that he was born missing two fingers. “Indians say if you were born with eight fingers, you are a happy person,” he said.
