Francophone Summit 1st Time Referred to the Karabakh Problem

October 23-24 Montro Swiss town of La Francophone Member states of the 13th Summit, which took place in the framework of the organization’s 40 anniversary. For participating in the summit for Montro the organization’s 70 members arrived, and the associated high-level delegations from observer countries.
Jubilee Francophone Summit was also attended by Armenia delegation headed by Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
Addressing the summit, Foreign Minister of Armenia attached importance to cooperation within the framework of the Francophone and the role of the organization, through multicultural dialogue between peoples and peace and the strengthening of solidarity.

In the final resolution of the Francophone Summit was included in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict on the provision, which specifically says: “We reaffirm our unconditional support of the OSCE Minsk Group’s efforts to Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement. We urge all parties to the conflict to refrain from the threat of force or the use of force, which endanger the future of the peace process. We urge the parties to continue negotiations Minsk Group proposed by the principles of integrity on the basis of this conflict as a balanced and lasting settlement basis.
