Zhamanak: Armenian singer Tata testified to Armenian criminal case

According to the information at the Zhamanak daily’s disposal, Armenian singer Tata, who is presently in U.S., was also called by U.S. law enforcement agents to testify to alleged Armenian criminals’ network case. According to U.S. law enforcers, Tata is on close terms with some members of the suspected criminal group.
As NEWS.am reported previously, a vast network of Armenian gangsters and their associates used phantom health care clinics and other means to try to cheat Medicare out of $163 million.
The operation was under the protection of an allaged Armenain crime boss Armen Kazaraian, nicknamed Pzo, who was among the first arrestees in Los Algeles. Most of the defendants “were Armenian nationals or immigrants and many maintained substantial ties to Armenia” and criminals there.
