When the Football is Also a Great Policy

Everybody know that football is much more than sport, it is also a policy and in many issues it can influence. Fans are aware that within the European Championship football tournament (A group) Azerbaijani national team in Baku had reached advantage towards Turkey team by 1:0. And now, this event may cause coldness between the two close countries. Turks were sure that in the first previous Azerbaijan’s national team that didn’t pretend to anything will just lose and present 3 points to the team of Turkey which has serious ambitions. But unexpectedness was occurred. The Azerbaijan’s team, that had had only defeats before that in the tournament, had the first victory in this tournament. Perhaps this is why the Turks decided to take revenge from the Azerbaijan’s team not allowing the 6 footballers ofAzerbaijani “Khazar” team to get into the airplane in the Istambul airport. They clarified that the players were late from the registration. While the registration continued for other passengers. When the surprised players interested in why they treat with them in that way, the Turks responded that Azerbaijan’s national team should not win this game. So, “Khazar” team players had to wait for the next flight and spend additional money to return to Azerbaijan.
What gave Armenia and Turkey football diplomacy, it is known. And now our country is awaiting a new trial in this regard. Armenia football national team within the selective tournament in European Championship in 2011 – March 26, will host the Russian team (B group). As we know Russia is our strategic ally, and that the representatives of that country need victory. What situation will happen after this game, if ours reach advantage over his opponent, it is difficult to say.
