Major car accident near the Armenian parliament; there are casualties

The three car accident occurred in downtown Yerevan, at about 21:40 local time at the intersection of Bagramian and Demirchian Streets, near the Armenian parliament, photo journalist Gagik Shamshian told NEWS.am from the scene. As a result of an accident 2 people (women and young man) were hospitalized.
At the moment, the police are at the scene and the traffic to the surrounding streets is blocked.
Lexus SUV, VAZ 2106 and an Opel collided. According to witnesses, the Lexus SUV had a government license
plate, but before the arrival of the police some unknown person removed them from the vehicle.
