October 1, hundreds of Turkish Nationalists second strength of the opposition Nationalist Movement Party leader Devlet Bahcheli’s leadership of Mejlis made namaz in Ani cathedral.

The Party is the political arm of Turkish “Grey Wolves” extremist right-side grouping, which is spread all over the world and has about 80 branches.

The selection of Ani Cathedral isn’t random. The Turkish Seljuk Sultan Alparslan decoyed Ani in 1064, removed the cross from the Cathedral, and after that the temple operated as the mosque for 60 years. Then Ani decooyed the Georgian King David and the Temple once again served as a church. Today the church is in a dilapidated condition: the dome is without the cross, and there are Turkish swearing written inside.

After the Friday namaz Devlet Bahceli criticized the Turkish government for the mass carried out in Aghtamar and Sumela.

This year, August 15, 88 years for the first time, Turkey’s Trabzon Province in the historical Sumela Orthodox Monastery liturgy was served by Prime Minister Erdogan’s governmental permission .

The day before namaz of Ani held namazi Turkish authorities placed St. Cross Church dome cross.

In Ruben Melkonyan’s opinion, there is an apparent connection between these two events, and holding of namaz the permission of which before that was contested, was a cheese made to the public by the Turkish government.

Akhtamar church cross dome installation went unnoticed and noise wasn’t raised, just Turkish media wrote that the cross is placed.
