The Minister of foreign affairs Ahmed Davutoghlu had speech in Harvard University on the subject of priorities of external politics of Ankara in the context of Global problems.

According to “Chihan” agency Davutoghlu also announced that Armenians must withdraw from “the occupied territories of Azerbaijan”, and mentioned that the basic provision of normalization of Armenian-Turkish relations is the improvement of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.
Everybody must respect the territorial integrity of the other state. Sooner or later relations between Baku and Yerevan must return to normal state,-said the minister and added Armenian-Turkish protocols, signed in Tsyurikh October 2009, still remain in force.
According to his words Turkey is trying to improve relations not only with official Yerevan, but also with Armenian diasporas in different countries, “because historically Armenians lived with Turkish abreast”.
A.Davutoghlu announced that Armenian lobby functioning abroad must stop “putting obstacles in the way of establishing peace in the region speculating in the events of 1915 and calling them “Genocide””.
He insists that from the events of 1915 suffered not only Armenians, but also Turkish. If they call it genocide so how will you call the extermination of the Turkish population on the Caucasus and the Balkans. It is necessary to listen to all sides”,-said Davutoghlu.

Davutoghlu considered unacceptable the attempts to equate Armenian “ Genocide” to the extermination of the Jewish people in Europe and said that there have never been “ghetto” of Armenians in any town of Turkey, so this spread information is falsehood,-is mentioned in the publication “Turkish Weekly”.
According to Davutoghlu’s the order the Turkish address to Armenians is: “Don’t close the door which was open for establishing peace and don’t blame us.”
“We are ready to collaborate with Armenia, that’s why we have signed the protocols. It’s necessary to create new Caucasus, where the principle of the territorial integrity will be mutually respected, the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan must improve and become stable and firm”,-said the head of Turkish foreign-policy department.
As Davutoghlu says Turkey realizes three priorities harmoniously – the process of joining the EU, the strategic union with the USA and the relationship with the neighbors.
He said that relations with the USA have a special importance and quoted the words of the president of the USA Barak Obama who called the Turkish-Armenian relationships “an example of partnership.”
Turkey – as a regional state, and the USA – as a universal state have similar strategic objectives,-said Ahmed Davutoghlu.
He mentioned that after the power went to the “Justice and progress” party Turkey adopted a new conception of external politics, created developing economy and gained self-confidence.
As Davutoghlu says, his country belongs not to one, but several territories and the neighbors’ problems influence on Turkey as well. Proceeding from this reality Ankara applies active diplomatic endeavors to prevent from possible crisises.
