Ramadan holiday is marked in Azerbaijan

Today and tomorrow the Holiday of Ramadan is marked in Azerbaijan, APA reports. The Month of Ramadan that began on August 11 ends.
The holiday of Ramadan falls on September 9 or 10 by Gregorian calendar. Under the decision of Azerbaijani government, both days are considered holidays. According to Azerbaijani Government’s decision, two days are holidays. Time of holiday namaz is at 10.00. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh congratulated Azerbaijani nation on Ramadan holiday.
On the holiday of Ramadan Muslims visit their parents, relatives, care for orphans, poor people, visit graves of their relatives. Every Muslim should pay Zakat -ul –Fitr on Ramadan holiday. The required amount of Zakat ul Fitr is 3 kilograms of wheat, rice, barley, raisin, date or similar products per person. Zakat ul Fitr should be given to the poor, handicapped persons and orphans.
