It is not clear yet what impact the ruling of the International Court of Justice about Kosovo will have on the further fate of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, it is necessary to wait, German ambassador to Armenia Hans-Yochen Schmidt said at a news conference today, adding that the provisions backed by the OSCE Minsk Group continue being the most important ones.
“It is important to reach the settlement of the NK conflict based on “Madrid” principles – non-usage of force, territorial integrity and self-determination of people. I think that mass media too must carry out extended discussions for finding ways to the settlement of the conflict,” the ambassador pointed out. According to him, the activity of the non-governmental organizations is also important: they are trying to find out the mood of the publics of the two countries through various seminars.
