Tender for Digital TV Broadcast Licenses to Kick off July 20

The Armenian National TV and Radio Committee will hold a tender July 20 for granting digital broadcast licenses to TV companies.
Lilit Gazazyan, press and PR official of the National TV and Radio Committee, told Armenpress that the committee defined the procedure of the tender in accordance with RA Law on TV and Radio, article 36, point 1 (part 3), and article 16, part 2.
The committee will accept application forms and necessary documents from the 83d day after the announcement of the tender to the 93d day. Before the 95th day after the announcement of the tender the committee will publish the list of participants on its website. The selection of the person, which will get license in the result of the tender, will be made with an open ranking vote on the 150th day after the announcement of the tender.
The full information on the tender is expected to be placed on the website of the committee within a month. The tender will be considered failed in case no any application is presented within the defined timeframe, in case the decision on granting license is invalidated or in case no any participant is present at the session of the committee.
