RA President Serzh Sargsyan Meets with Acting Head of State of Germany Jens Böhrnsen

RA President Serzh Sargsyan, who is on an official visit to Berlin, today met with Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, as well as with President of the Bundesrat and acting Head of State of Germany Jens Böhrnsen. The Presidential press service told Armenpress that a variety of issues on extension of the German-Armenian cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats were discussed during the meeting with Mr. Jens Böhrnsen.
The sides mentioned that the German-Armenian relations develop in the atmosphere of mutual understanding and friendship. They noted that the new interstate treaties, which are intended to be signed in the near future, will open good prospects for the extension of the cooperation. The Presidents stressed the importance of implementation of joint projects in the scientific-educational and cultural spheres in the process of strengthening the relations between the two nations.
The sides also spoke on the possibilities of the cooperation in the spheres of high technologies, tourism, energy, mining production and infrastructures. President Serzh Sargsyan will next meet with President of the German Bundestag Norbert Lammert.
