The Cairo Supreme court has confirmed the decision of court of the subordinate instance, calling the government of Egypt to consider the problem on deprivation of citizenship of citizens of the country which are married Israelis, the British telebroadcasting corporation BBC transfers on Sunday. The appeal was submitted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country.

On the basis of the court decision – all cases should be sent to government consideration when it will be established, that the citizen of Egypt is married with the Israeli. This decision can seriously affect relations of Israel and Egypt. In 1979 Egypt signed the peace agreement, becoming the first Arabian country which had gone on rapprochement with the Jewish state, BBC mentions.

The antiisraeli moods in Egypt have amplified connected with the incident of « world Flotilla» when the Israeli military men intercepted the ships, trying to break through blockade of Gaza Strip. In the incident, as it was informed, nine persons died. The case of marriages with Israelis had started to be considered long before the incident with the flotilla. The court decided, that the government should make for each separate case a decision, whether to deprive the man and his children of citizenship. It also will be considered whether the woman is of Jewish or Arabian origin. It is informed, that in Egypt about 30 thousand men are married with Israelis, informs “Interfax”.
