Australia was attacked by drunk parrots

The streets of the city Palmerston in the north of Australia were filled with parrots which behave themselves so as if they are in a condition of alcoholic intoxication. The birds fall down from trees and cannot fly up. Local veterinary surgeons are not able to define, by what such strange behaviour of the feathery is caused.
Brightly painted lori parrots show the whole feature set of alcoholic intoxication. They cannot supervise movement, lose consciousness and fall down from trees. After awakening the birds shrivel, trying to go through “hang-over”. The fallen birds are selected by veterinary surgeons and are delivered to a local clinic.
Now there are 30 parrots in the clinic, and every day the quantity of feathery patients increases. Doctors give sweet porridge and fruit to birds in order to help them to cope with “hang-over”.
According to the local residents “drunk” lori might be seen in the streets of Palmerston, but they were not so much before. Most likely, a source of similar intoxication of birds is the begun to ferment pulp of fruits which they use in food. Not only parrots, but also monkeys suffer from fruit containing alcohol.
