“We are ready on any lawful means for the failure of the antinational and ridiculous project”

Today in the cultural centre Tekeyan the first meeting of members of the initiative “We against the opening of foreign language schools” has taken place. The decision was made, that the project suggested by the government of the RA on opening of foreign language schools is unacceptable, as it is the strongest blow on independence of Armenia and the Armenian identity.
In the message of the members of the initiative it is said, that it is necessary to take away immediately a bill about modification of laws “About language” and about “General education” from the Government, and the National meeting should not include it in the summons of the sessions at all.
“We consider, that the government of the RA should undertake immediate steps for the improvement of quality of education, including teaching of foreign languages. We are ready on any lawful means for the failure of the antinational and ridiculous project”, -it is said in the message.
Numerous known representatives of political, public, scientific and cultural spheres being present at meeting have expressed their indignation and their protest concerning the opening of foreign language schools.
The reports which have sounded at the meeting, were accompanied by a storm of applause and comments.
By the way, all the presents felt undisguised pride that the society has united and has armed again with intention to struggle to the end.
