From flooding in China 1,2 million person have suffered, there are victims

Almost 1 million 200 thousand persons have suffered from a new wave of flooding in the south of China. Four persons were lost, about 60 thousand in an emergency order have been evacuated from dangerous areas in Guansi-Chzhuansky independent area.
78 thousand hectares of farmland are filled by water, the crop on the area of 2 thousand hectares is completely destroyed. The flooding has destroyed more than 2 thousand buildings, the majority from which was inhabited.
In some cities the ground floors of buildings are filled in. For the evacuation of more than 600 pupils of several schools from a flooding zone it was necessary to involve military men and special equipment. As ITAR-TASS informs, storm rains have begun in this province in the south of China in the evening on June 1 and proceed till now. Six cities of independent area and districts applying on them have suffered from flooding.
In May flooding in the south of China has already snatched 101 persons’ lives. Rains have begun in the end of April, 2010 and proceed up to now. In total, from elements have suffered more than 15 million persons, the direct economic damage exceeds eight billions yuans (1,17In billion dollars). Most of all 11 areas have suffered from flooding: provinces Guangdong, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangxi, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou, Ankhuey, Yunnan, Guansi-Chzhuansky independent area and a megacity Chungking.
