On May 31, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian arrived in Canada on an official visit. In Ottawa, the agenda of Minister Nalbandian included meetings with the representatives of legislative and executive bodies of Canada.
The meeting of the Armenian Foreign Minister with Lawrence Cannon, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Canada took place. Minister Nalbandian, expressing gratitude for the invitation to visit Ottawa and the warm reception, said. “Armenia attaches importance to the further deepening and strengthening of comprehensive relations with Canada. In the 21st century, the geographic distance cannot be an obstacle for the expansion of cooperation. Armenia is successfully developing its relations with many countries that are thousands kilometers far away and we intend to undertake practical steps for the further development of friendly cooperation with Canada. And I visit Canada with this particular message,” Minister Nalbandian said.
