The Turkish court has justified Ojalan’s lawyer, claiming that “Armenians were subjected to the genocide”.

The Turkish court has justified the leader of the Kurds Abdulal Ojalan’s former lawyer Medeni Ayhan, who announced in Ankara in 2004 that Armenians had been subjected to the genocide in Turkey. According to the Turkish newspaper called “Sabah” the Ministry of justice of Turkey did not allow the court to start a trail against M.Ayhan for his announcement “the Alevies were also subjected to the genocide in Turkey”. As the newspaper announced M.Ayhan’s criminal case related to the Armenian genocide had begun on the basis of the leader of the armed forces of Turkey Ilqer Bashbukh’s claim.
“The genocide was carried out towards Armenians. In 1915 the Ottoman empire specified 1.5million Armenians. I share this pain with Armenian nation and bow with great respect. The rights of the Kurd 30million nation, which live in Turkey, are not respected and even recognized. I am speaking as a representative of the Kurd nation and as a citizen of Kurdistan, and I defend the right of the Kurds to create a state”, M.Ayhan was saying in his report in the council of lawyers of Turkey. The Turkish lawyers protested the Kurd lawyer, and I.Bashbukh presented a claim to the 10 criminal court of Ankara. In the end of the criminal case, lasting 6years, the court has decided today that M. Ayhan’s announcement is in the law of person’s speaking freely.
“It is interesting whether the leader of the main stuff of armed forces of Turkey Ilqer Bashbukh will protest the decision of court, or not”, it is asked in the newspaper, pointing out the fact that the Ministry of Justice of Turkey did not allow to start a criminal case against M. Ayhan even for his announcement: “The Kurds and Alevies were also subjected to the genocide in Turkey”.
