The President of the RA S.Sargsjan: “Our partners speak about the professional abilities of officers and soldiers of the Armenian army both in the west and in the east”.

The president of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan within the limits of working visit to Kingdom of Belgium today, speaking about fighting capacity of the Armenian army, has noticed, that it is born and christened in the field of fight, and that the higher officers, under the guidance of the minister and the chief of a general staff, have a wide experience of carrying out of military actions, and thus – positive.
“Our partners speak about the professional abilities of officers and soldiers of the Armenian army both in the west and in the east when together we solve military problems or participate in doctrines. Thus, our army is structure being under the democratic control, army which operates is transparent. The army co-operates with NATO. It is ready to carry out problems facing it. We are proud of our army, and at the same time we dream of that day when in our region there will be no big and superarmed armies”, – the president of the RA has told.
S.Sargsjan, mentioning a theme of the Karabakh conflict, has noticed, that the Minsk group of OSCE is engaged in this question. “Armenia and Azerbaijan are members of the Council of Europe and the European structures are engaged both the decision of this question and a question of normalization of our relations”.
“The NATO as I represent, is responsible for safety of Europe and Europe does not have other armed forces”, – the president of the RA has told and has added, that told by him does not mean, that if the confrontation the NATO will be unequivocal in region tomorrow will be developed. About it the secretary general of NATO Anders Fon Rasmusen has told, that the NATO is not involved in the conflict and supports all efforts of the Minsk group of OSCE, and also the partners Armenia and Azerbaijan. And on a question on that what means possesses NATO and what will undertake in case of aggression from Azerbaijan, has answered, that he considers a confrontation will not be.
