The announcement of the National Democratic Assembly
The government of RA has suggested the National Assembly a project of changes in the law “About the language of RA”, which has caused different opinions in our public. These changes allow foreign language schools to enter the Armenian educational system.
Each generation can understand his national art and history only studying in national schools. In nowadays circumstances, when the globalization with all its positive sides is very dangerous, the role of general education becomes more important from the point of saving national personality, each country tries to save its national advantages by means of general educational schools.
It is not right to learn a language as just a subject or a way of communication. Language has a genetic basis. Foreign language school will bring foreign educational system, foreign thinking, foreign psychology.
Being unable to use right policy in educational system, people who are responsible for this field want to hand in this important field for our future to foreigners. This fact speaks about the absence of feeling of responsibility for state.
The National Democratic Assembly considers that the affecting law “ About the language of the RA” does not interfere the deepened study of foreign languages till the teaching of facultative subjects in foreign languages.
The National Democratic Assembly is against the project of making changes in the law “ About the language of the RA”, suggested by the Government of RA.
