Pakistan-Azerbaijan military cooperation continues

Pakistan’s Defense Secretary, Lieutenant-General Syed Athar Ali arrived in Azerbaijan on Wednesday.
Azerbaijan-Pakistan working group on cooperation will hold its regular meeting during the visit which will last until April 27.
Note, that Pakistan does not recognize Republic of Armenia, and has hostile behavior towards Armenia. Pakistan doesn’t recognize also the right of self-determination of Nagorno-Karabakh, and insists on the Azeri thesis about the withdrawal of Karabakhi-Armenian forces from the liberated territories and the restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity.
Azerbaijan has pro-Pakistani position on the issue of Kashmir.
Being a member of the Organization of Islamic Conference Pakistan also supports Azerbaijan in the international arena and has a great “asset” in the anti-Armenian decisions making of the organization’s summits.
Azerbaijan and Pakistan signed several bilateral agreements on cooperation in the military sphere.
