Now to Tbilisi and then to Baku

Today the Armenian national team of the youth boxing left for the capital of Georgia Tbilisi in order to participate in the last tour of the training competitions. Our sportsmen will then depart from here to Baku. The youth boxing championship will take place in the capital of Azerbaijan from 20th of April to 2nd of May. Apart from the medals, the winners will have the opportunity to gain participation in the Youth Olympic Games to be held in Singapore. The head coach of the Armenian national team is Dernek Oskanyan who is to be assisted by Samvel Sogomonyan and Rudik Mkrtchyan. The honor of the Armenian national team will be defended by the World Youth Champion Korun Sogomonyan (48kg), Narek Abgharyan (51kg.), Arthur Kiragyan (54kg.), Karen Tonakanyan (57kg.), Hrair Matevosyan (60kg.), Hovahness Bachkov (64kg.). There will be 12 participants on behalf of Armenia and the delegation will be headed by the Deputy Chair of the Armenian Boxing Federation and the Deputy Chairman of the Olympic Federation Derenik Gabrielyan.
