Arthur Abrahamyan lost to Andre Dirrell

Arthur Abrahamyan, who occupies the middle weight class, participated in the second round of the Showtime Super Six World Boxing Classic and lost to Andre Dirrell.

The competition, that took place in the city of Detroit of the state of Michigan, was full of dramatic moments. It was the first time throughout his entire career that Arthur found himself in a knockdown during the fourth round of the boxing. In the eleventh round he was disqualified for hitting his opponent while the latter had already slipped and fallen on the ground. Before Arthur got disqualified, Dirrell had already gone ahead in scores with the following results 98:91, 97:92, 97:92. Dirrell also found himself in a knockdown but the ring umpire did not score the result. After the completion of the competition, the American boxer was taken to the hospital for the health check.
