First they made the toilet talk and now a new invention fromJapanhas brought the power of speech to another everyday item.
Perfect if you find mealtimes a little dull, this new invention is certain to inject a bit of interest in to your lunch … it’s the fork that talks to you. Kind of.
The EsTheremine is a fork-like instrument that likes to play sounds as you eat.
Containing a micro controller, a speaker, amplifier and battery within it’s handle, the fork generates any one of a variety of sounds depending on the type of food being eaten.
The fork can even distinguish between different types of eating.
The developers are a research group from theOchanomizuUniversityinTokyowho’s aim was to inspire people to try different types of food and encourage a more varied diet.
Whether or not you would chose a electronic talking fork as a relationship aide, it is certainly a novel idea to liven up meal times.
