16 people applied to Armenian Police to get 10-year permanent resident certificate prior to presidential elections

YEREVAN. – At the moment, 16 people applied to Armenian Police to get 10-year permanent resident certificate prior to presidential elections in February, 2013.
The Passport and Visa department of Armenian Police issued certificates stating that they are citizens of Armenia for the past 10 years, they do not have citizenship of other countries and have been permanent residents of Armenia for the past 10 years to 11 people. As we know, the above certificate is necessary for the people who are going to be candidates for the presidential elections in Armenia.
The head of the department Hovhannes Kocharyan told Pastinfo that Karekin V. Ghazaryan, Hovik Ovsepovich Aghazarian, Martik Zhoraevich Sargsyan, Pavlik Vaspurovich Sargsyan and Robert Yashaevich Simonian also applied for the certificate, which they need for balloting in the presidential elections in Armenia, and which has not yet been issued.
Previously the certificate was received by Vartan Sedrakyan, leader of the New Times Party Aram Karapetyan (he claimed that he would not run), director of the National Press Club Narine Mkrtchyan, director of Radio EyeAndreas Ghukasyan, chairman of the association National Self-Determination Paruyr Hayrikyan, leader of Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian, the leader of Freedom party Hrant Bagratyan, physicist Mher Gayrapetyan, physician Zaruhi Harutyunyan, incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, and Chairman of National Agreement party Aram Harutyunyan.
