The ex-head of the Department of Construction Policy of the Ministry of Urban Planning arrested

The ex-head of the Department of Construction Policy of the Ministry of Urban Planning Gor Qamalyan was arrested on 28 September on the criminal case investigated on squandering a significant amount of property, abuse of authorities by an employee of an official and commercial organization and abuse of official authorities during the works of repairing the national library of Armenia fundamentally.
He is suspected in abusing official authorities defined by the Part 2 of the Article 308 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
Let us remind that on 25 September, 2012 in the Division of State Interests Protection of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Armenia a criminal case was initiated on the cases of squandering a significant amount of property, abuse of authorities by an employee of an official and commercial organization and abuse of official authorities during the works of repairing the national library of Armenia fundamentally.
The investigation of the criminal case was tasked to the General Investigation Division of the Police adjunct to the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
Note; Everyone charged with a crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
