The Pope to anoint Hakob Meghapart memorial in Lebanese Armenian monastery

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 13, ARMENPRESS: Pope Benedict 16th is scheduled to pay a visit to Lebanon, where the spiritual leader is set to be hosted in Lebanese Armenians Catholic Patriarchal Zmmari monastery.
The initial goal of the visit is the call for peace directed to the salvation of Middle East problems, due to what the visit got ”peace pilgrimage” name. The sacred high priest is arriving in Beirut Rafik Hariri airport on September 14, where a special ceremony will be launched to honor the quest. In the second half of the day Benedict 16th for the first time will visit Zmmari centuries-old monastery where the sacred leader will anoint the memorial dedicated to Hakob Meghapart , built in connection with First Armenian Printed Book 500th anniversary.
A special dinner will be served in Zmmari with the participation of sacred priest staff members headed by Armenian Catholic Patriarch of Cilicia, Catholicos Nerses Bedros 19 th. As Egia Archimandrite, Lebanese Armenian Catholic Patriarchal Zmmaari monk told in the briefing with Armenpress , the Pope is set to have meetings with Lebanese president, prime minister, the head of the Parliament and the Muslim community leaders.
