Co-worker of Medical Service of Vardashen Penitentiary accused of committing fraud

The preliminary investigation of the criminal case initiated against the third class specialist of medical service of Vardashen penitentiary of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia N. Petrosyan for committing fraud was completed in the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia.The prosecutor who supervised the preliminary investigation of the criminal case confirmed the bill of indictment.
By the preliminary investigation of the criminal case it was found out that at the end of February 2012 N. Petrosyan learning from his nephew A. Manukyan that the latter’s friend 26 year-old G. Hayrapetyan didn]t have a passport and wasn’t called to military service yet, as well as that G. Hayrapetyan and his mother Kh. Hayrapetyan were ready to pay the sum defined by law in order to be exempted from military service, was intended to swindle their money.
Particularly, at the end of February, 2012 N. Petrosyan had reached a prior agreement with mother and son Hayrapetyans on settling G. Hayrapetyan’s problems of getting a passport and being exempted from the military service for 4.500US dollars and had demanded to pay the sum as soon as possible.
G. and Kh. Hayrapetyans selling their allotment in town Masis, on 12 March, and then on 27 March, had given N. Petrosyan a total sum of 4.250 US dollars part by part in their flat. N. Petrosyan had used the swindled sum of 1.655.520 AMD tantamount to 4.250 US dollars for his personal needs.
Besides, in the middle of April, 2012 with the intention of swindling the significant amount of property of the same persons, N. Petrosyan again had gone to the flat of mother and son Hayrapetyans and demanded from Kh. Hayrapetyan 2.500US dolars with the reason of giving the sum to the persons who were engaged in G. Hayrapetyan’s documentation affair.
According to the obtained evidence N. Petrosyan was accused according to the Point 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 178 and Point 2 of the Part 2 of the Article 34- 178..The criminal case was sent to the Court of First Instance of Arabkir and Qanaqer-Zeytun administrative districts.
Note; Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
