Turks’ bliss is cut short

The Turks, who were elated by Nicolas Sarkozy’s leaving the office of France’s Presidency, are saddened yet again because, following François Hollande’s election as the new President, former PM Laurent Fabius is now appointed as the country’s new FM.
Fabius is known for his anti-Turkish stance and he is against Turkey’s EU membership, reports NTV News Agency of Turkey.
Turkey was very much enthused by the defeat of Nicolas Sarkozy, who had introduced a bill that criminalizes the denial of genocides—including the Armenian Genocide.
But newly-elect French President François Hollande likewise had stated that he will see to it that such bill ultimately becomes a law in France.
