Armenian police investigator is arrested while taking $500 bribe

YEREVAN. – A case of corruption by an official was exposed in Armenia on Wednesday.
Capital Yerevan Central Police Precinct Investigation Department investigator, Police Lieutenant Artur Hovsepyan was taken under custody while taking US$ 500 bribe from citizen H., in return for not launching criminal proceedings against him, the National Security Service (NSS) informed NEWS.am.
At present, the NSS is preparing documents to open a criminal case against Hovsepyan, and on charges of taking bribe.
