The Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK) likewise spoke out against the French Senate’s passing of the bill that criminalizes the denial of genocides, including the Armenian Genocide.
THK General Director Osman Yildirim stated that a French company won the tender for the purchase of 150 parachutes, but, because of the passing of the aforesaid bill, they are suspending the tender, Haber3 News Agency of Turkey informs.
“If France draws back, in that case the 500,000-euro deal for the purchase of the parachutes will be carried out. We are showing out reaction to France in this way. We love our country. We will not turn our other cheek to the one who has slapped us,” Yildirim said.
