Sarkozy Warns

French President Nikola Sarkozy stated that if the Constitutional Council of France rules the recently adopted law on the Armenian genocide is anti- Constitutional, the same fate will be expected for the law on the Jewish Holocaust.
As we know the point is about the law penalizing the denial of the Armenian genocide. A similar law exists also with regards to the Jewish Holocaust which was adopted in France long ago.
Senators, who voted against the “Armenian” bill, sent it to the Constitutional Council appealing it is anti-Constitutional.
The reaction of the French president makes its clear France is not going to withdraw in front of Turkey. No doubt, his argument is quite logic and comprehensible because it would be strange if the bill on the Armenian genocide comes out anti-constitutional while the Holocaust law goes on being in force without problems.
