The Department for the Cases Investigated by the RA National Security Agencies of the RA General Prosecutor’s Office has initiated a criminal case against the citizens of the Republic of Guinea and the United Republic of Tanzania for swindling money in large amount and illegally legalizing the incomes. The criminal case has been initiated according to two articles of the RA Criminal Code.

The examination of the materials prepared by the RA Police has stated that the citizen of the Republic of Guinea A. K. came to a prior agreement with an R. from the United Republic of Tanzania on the illegal sale of airplane tickets, receiving cash money from the people eager to obtain cheaper tickets, swindling the received money and paying for the tickets by making payments from the bank accounts of other people by using false bank cards.

It has been stated that A. K., having successfully implemented such transactions in Tanzania, in August 2011 came to Armenia with the purpose to continue her activity here. She found air ticket buyers. In particular in October-November 2011 she took money from three citizens of Armenia in order to buy tickets Yerevan-Moscow and Yerevan-Moscow-Sochi and swindled the money.

A. K. abused the confidence of the buyers and in order to hide the swindled money she sent by e-mail the passport data of the buyers to an R. who was living in Guinea. Then, she used false bank plastic cards and made payments for the e-tickets in the names of the above-mentioned three citizens from the bank accounts of the persons who have not been found yet. As a result A. K. and R. swindled and legalized money in large amount.

A criminal case has been initiated according to the RA Criminal Code Articles 178, part 1 and 190, part 2, point 2. The criminal case has been sent to the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia in order to carry out the preliminary investigation of the criminal case.
